Fortaleza Reposado Tequila Winter Blend 2022 is a limited edition release that captures the warmth and comfort of the winter season in a bottle. This tequila is made using 100% blue agave, grown and harvested by the fifth generation of the Sauza family in the Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico. After being slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens, the agave is crushed using a centuries-old tahona wheel to extract the sweet juices.
The tequila is then aged for at least 6 months in a combination of new and used American oak barrels, giving it a rich and complex flavor profile. On the nose, you'll find hints of cooked agave, vanilla, and oak, followed by a smooth and balanced palate with notes of caramel, honey, and spices. The finish is long and warming, with a touch of oak and pepper.
