Blanton's Bourbon

Every Blanton's Single Barrel expression we can get our hands on — from the Original that started the single-barrel category in 1984 to the export-only labels most US stores never see. In stock, from licensed retailers, delivered to your door.

The Blanton's Label Guide

Blanton's bottles look alike — same grenade-shaped bottle, same horse-and-jockey stopper — but the label color tells you what's inside:

Original Single Barrel (Brown Label)

The flagship — 93 proof, the world's first commercially sold single barrel bourbon. Dumped one barrel at a time from Buffalo Trace's famous Warehouse H. This is the one on every allocated list in America.

Green Label (Special Reserve)

A lower-proof export bottling made for overseas markets — lighter, softer, and never officially sold in US stores, which is exactly why bourbon hunters chase it. Yes, it's real Blanton's: same distillery, same barrels, export label. See the FAQ below for the MSRP story.

Gold Edition

103 proof (51.5% ABV), richer and fuller than the Original — spicy rye, tobacco, caramel and honey. For years an export-only bottling; now trickling into the US in tiny quantities.

Black Label (Special Reserve)

The Japanese-market bottling — gentle, dessert-leaning, and one of the harder labels to find stateside. Ours carries the Japanese barcode to prove where it came from.

Straight from the Barrel

Uncut, unfiltered, cask strength — our current bottles run 123.8 and 129 proof. The Blanton's that collectors and barrel-proof drinkers rank first. Export-market bottling.

Char No. 4 Special Release (2022)

A limited 2022 project of hand-selected Warehouse H barrels, with custom art label and gift box named in tribute to the No. 4 "alligator" char that gives bourbon its color and depth. Allocated in tiny numbers.

40th Anniversary (2024)

The collector's crown: a single cask dumped November 2024 at full barrel strength — 124 proof — under a white horse stopper in an acrylic case, marking 40 years of the category Blanton's invented.

Bonus for the barrel-curious: Corazón Reposado finished in Blanton's barrels — tequila rested in the very casks that held this bourbon.

Blanton's FAQ

Is Blanton's Green Label real?

Yes. Green Label (Special Reserve) is a genuine Buffalo Trace bottling produced for export markets. It was never part of the official US lineup, so it reaches American shelves through licensed import and secondary-allocation channels — like ours.

What is Blanton's Green Label MSRP?

There is no US MSRP, because it isn't officially distributed in the US. Overseas it retails roughly $60-80; stateside, market price runs $150-250 depending on supply. Our price reflects the licensed-retailer market — no gray-market games, delivered legally.

Why is Blanton's so hard to find?

Every bottle is dumped from a single barrel — no batching — and Warehouse H can only age so much whiskey. Demand exploded after 2015 and never came back down. Distribution is allocated: stores get a few bottles at a time, which is why finding it in stock online is the whole game.

What do the stopper letters mean?

Each horse-and-jockey stopper is stamped with a letter; the eight stoppers spell B-L-A-N-T-O-N-S, each showing a different pose from a horse race. Collectors chase complete sets.

Does TIPXY ship Blanton's to my state?

TIPXY ships to most U.S. states through licensed retailers. Orders over $149 qualify for free shipping.
