Bruichladdich's Octomore pushes Islay peat to its outer limit, and the 15.2 edition tempers that intensity with real finesse. Malted to 108.2 ppm and distilled from 100% Scottish barley, it spent five years in second-fill American oak and red wine casks before finishing in first-fill French Cognac casks, then went to bottle unchill-filtered and naturally colored at 57.9% ABV.
