From Bruichladdich's experimental Octomore series on Islay comes Edition 15.1, distilled from 100% Scottish Concerto barley and peated to 108.2 PPM — among the most heavily peated whiskies made. Five years in first-fill bourbon barrels and re-charred ex-bourbon casks build layers of vanilla custard and charred oak beneath the smoke, with caramel, citrus, aniseed, and ripe mango and banana threading through.
