Slivovitz means plum brandy across Central Europe, and Hungary has long been renowned for it. Zwack distills its version at the Zwack Pálinka Manufactory in Kecskemét, using roughly 4.6 kilograms of fresh Hungarian plums for every liter — no shortcuts, no dilution. The result pours pale amber, with a light plum nose and a bold, full-bodied palate layered with plum and cherry that finishes spicy. Serve it chilled as a shot, the traditional way, or sip it slowly after dinner.
