The Yamato Original Edition

The Kofu Basin, a land-locked, fertile central valley, is surrounded by many of the highest mountains in Japan including the world renowned Mt. Fuji. The mini-climate created by these geographical features and fertile soil slows the maturation of the grains imparting a unique richness of flavor. The cold winters and firey summers intensify the aging process of the whisky, imparting flavor and boldness to the blend. To maintain the natural character of the whisky, it is not chill filtered. Yamato is a blend of 3 to 8 year whisky aged in Mizunara Oak barrels.

How to drink it

To enjoy Yamato Orginal Edition Whiskey properly, use a Glencairn or tulip-shaped glass to concentrate the aromas. Optionally, add a small amount of water or ice to open up the flavors, but avoid overwhelming the whiskey. Before sipping, gently swirl the whiskey to release its aromas, and then take small sips, allowing the liquid to linger on your palate to appreciate the complexity. Notice the different flavors, and nature elements. Pay attention to the finish, as a long, lingering one indicates a good whiskey. Experiment with food pairings, like sushi, grilled meats, or desserts, to enhance the tasting experience. Avoid using strong mixers, as they mask the whiskey's true character. Take your time to savor the moment, explore different expressions, and appreciate the craftsmanship that went into producing this delightful spirit
