Not for the meek and timid! Be careful when using.

"A Kingston-based buddy of mine suggested this to me. He claimed that this is the drink of choice for "working men" on the entire island. I got the bottle from Tipxy, and I have to say, this rum is good. The potency is evident even in a mixed beverage like a Pina Colada. I could feel the heat from the overproof with each exhalation. Old-fashioned gentlemen like Mr. Wray and Nephew need to be treated with respect and some admiration. The taste? An undercurrent of sugarcane and a tinge of Jamaican funk are present, but the finish is quite spicy, warming the throat and tingling the lips. Due to its relative obscurity to those outside the island, this beverage is a national treasure that deserves to be investigated and debated."

Everybody enjoys it!

"Over 20 years, this rum has been my go-to choice. It is smooth and sweet, yet when you least expect it, it surprises you with a powerful blow. Coquito, a Puerto Rican eggnog, is what I create with it. It differs from the standard overproof rum used in recipes by Bacardi. They all adore it!"

This is Amazingly Rum Punch

"This is THE traditional Jamaican rum. Even after many generations, it remains the finest. In the Islands, people who are experienced with it can drink it directly. LOLMake it the favorite at any party by combining it with a decent punch recipe for the novice."

Fantastic addition to rum punch

"Creates a fantastic rum punch; I have presided over gallons of expertly prepared punch. I wouldn't drink this straight; instead, I'd combine it with some water or coconut water."

This makes me miss being at home.

"This rum mixes nicely with mango cran juice or other mixers, or you may drink it straight. It makes me think of being at home and just watching the days pass up in mango gully."

My vote would be for this rum if all others were banned barring it.

"By far the greatest rum I've ever drank! strong but creamy flavor. Don't push it too hard or you'll lose control! Great on the rocks or as a blend in a cocktail."

Conrad (5/5)

It always has the nicest flavor—strong and lovely.

"This is a need in every Jamaican home. I use it mostly for sorrel, hibiscus ginger punch, and jamaican rum cake; the flavor is consistently excellent, robust, and the greatest."
