Wheat lovers, this single barrel is worth a slow pour. Wilderness Trail builds its Family Reserve on a sweet mash fermentation and a wheat-forward recipe (64% corn, 24% wheat, 12% malted barley), then bottles it cask strength and non-chill-filtered from a single Level 4 alligator-char barrel. Barrel #779459 lands at 111.4 proof, aged four years and nine months, pouring caramel, honeyed wheat, toasted oak, and baked orchard fruit. Sip it neat, or add a splash of water to open it up.
