From the Saar valley's steep slate slopes comes this Kabinett-style Riesling — the lighter, off-dry end of the German quality scale, built for freshness over weight. Von Hövel, a family estate running since 1803, ferments it spontaneously and ages it quietly in stainless steel to keep the fruit bright. Expect pink grapefruit and cherry up front, a savory tarragon edge, and a salty, lime-zest finish that lingers. Pour it chilled alongside spicy Asian takeout or fresh oysters.
