Made at the Camarena family's La Alteña distillery in the Arandas highlands, this reposado comes from Carlos Camarena, the same hand behind Tapatio and Ocho. Highland agave is roasted in old brick ovens, fermented with wild yeast, and double distilled in copper pots before resting in ex-bourbon oak for eleven months. Expect roasted agave sweetness threaded with cracked black pepper, cinnamon, and a whisper of clove. Pour it neat and let it unwind slowly.
