Tullibardine has been making things worth drinking in Blackford, Perthshire since long before most distilleries existed—the site traces back to a 1488 brewery, though the stills have run since 1949. Their Artisan Highland single malt matures in ex-bourbon barrels, and it shows: a bright, floral nose of pear, honey, and white flowers gives way to a soft, creamy palate of sweet barley, vanilla, and roasted nuts. Bottled at 40%. Pour it neat, or add a splash of water to open the honeyed side.
