A London Dry gin from whisky country? Tulchan is distilled in Speyside on the banks of the River Spey, small-batch in copper pot stills. It leans juniper-forward, but the estate botanicals make it sing: sloe berries, elderflower, blackberry leaves, and even asparagus, which lends a bitter edge and a long finish. Expect sweet pine, soft chamomile and sage, a whisper of citrus, and jammy sloe. Bottled at 45%. Pour it into a Tulchan and tonic with orange, or a crisp 50:50 Martini.
