Angel's Envy normally finishes its rye in Caribbean rum casks; this limited release deliberately does not. A 6.5-year-old Kentucky straight rye gets more than nine months in a mix of first- and second-fill French oak instead, trading the rum sweetness for cinnamon, baking spice and a drier, more tannic close. Bottled at 92 proof.
