Here's a rye with a split identity: distilled in Canada at the old Schenley (now Valleyfield) distillery on an island between the St. Lawrence River and a canal, then finished and bottled by Treaty Oak in Austin. This release carries a 12-year age statement at 100 proof, built on a 53% rye mash with corn and malted barley. Expect green pepper and pear up front, easing into caramel and warm baking spice on the finish. Pour it neat to let that slow-aged complexity unfold.
