Tomintoul, at Ballindalloch in the Livet valley, bottles a famously gentle Speyside malt - mostly ex-bourbon, no smoke, no heavy sherry. Note that the distillery has no standard 30 Year Old: its 30-year releases are the Robert Fleming 30th Anniversary editions and independent bottlings, each at its own strength.
