This well-aged Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey was emptied from its oak casks after many years of aging, and then refilled in Port wine casks, left to mature for several more years. The taste is soft and sweet, with subtle hints of fruit, vanilla and baking spices.
Tasting notes
Nose: Lightly musty dried dark fruit, oak, citrus peels, cinnamon-heavy baking spice, hazelnuts and a touch of cocoa and vanilla custard.
Palate: Oak, dried dark fruit, leather, baking spice, hazelnuts, citrus peel, cinnamon-heavy baking spice, graham cracker and toffee.
Finish: Dark fruit, oak, copper and a light spiced fade that comes down to roasted nuts.
