This well-aged Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey was emptied from its oak casks after many years of aging, and then refilled in Chardonnay wine casks, left to mature for several more years. The taste is rich, with notes of citrus, tropical fruit and buttery oak.
Tasting notes
Nose: Oak, caramel, slightly herbal baking spice, dried dark fruit, vanilla frosting, a bit of nuts and peanut brittle.
Palate: Oak, caramel, baking spice, dried grapey fruit, vanilla, roasted nuts and a slightly earthy herbalness.
Finish: Grapey sweet, oak, nuts, and a slightly metallic off-note fades to a slightly off wine note.
