The Vale Fox Distillery infuses its two-year straight rye with Lapsang Souchong tea, steeping the leaves right in the whiskey so the smoke arrives soft rather than campfire-heavy. Born from Hudson Valley couple Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton Morgan's MF Libations, it noses of rye spice and honey, turns sweet and nutty on the palate, then finishes with black pepper. Bottled at 90 proof. Pour it neat, or let it carry an autumn cocktail.
Tasting notes
