Named for Trinidad's vivid national bird, this rum began as a private commission from Death & Co, the influential Manhattan cocktail bar, and is blended by Haus Alpenz from three- to five-year aged column-still stocks sourced at Trinidad Distillers, the island's sole rum distillery under the Angostura umbrella. Bottled at 49% ABV with no added sugar and no chill filtration, it pours toffee, tobacco, and dark honey over a firm, dry backbone. Old-school and full-flavored, it's built for a Corn 'n' Oil, a Mai Tai, or a rum Manhattan.
