Tesseron doesn't make anything below XO — this house, launched in 2003 by the fourth generation, works only in aged blends. Lot No. 90 is their youngest, yet still earns the XO badge: Ugni Blanc eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, and Fins Bois, rested at least a decade in old French oak. Expect fresh pear and quince up front, then herbaceous notes, dried fruit, and a whisper of almond. Pour it neat in a snifter and let it open.
