Most reposados blend agave from wherever it's available that season. Azul Imperial doesn't — each batch comes from a single estate field in Jalisco, so the harvest itself shapes the flavor. The agave is steamed, roller-milled, fermented, then double-distilled in copper pots and rested seven months in lightly toasted American oak. Expect cooked agave, vanilla and citrus up front, warm spice and a hint of almond trailing into the finish. Sip it neat, or build it into a spiced Old Fashioned.
