From one of Montalcino's oldest estates, this Rosso comes off the same southern-slope vineyards near Sant'Angelo in Colle that feed the family's Brunello. Made entirely from hand-picked Sangiovese Grosso, it spends six months in cask before a short bottle rest, landing lighter and fresher than its big sibling. Expect violet and red rose up front, sour cherry and a peppery snap underneath, with just enough tannin to hold its own. Pour it alongside roasted chicken or a hearty pasta with mushrooms.
