Bruichladdich is one of only two Islay distilleries that skips the peat entirely, letting its floral, barley-forward spirit speak for itself — which makes this one interesting. Distilled in 2003 and left to rest 20 years in a single sherry hogshead, cask #1315, it emerged in 2024 at full cask strength with just 232 bottles bottled by independent bottler Creetown Distillers. Expect dried fruit and toasted spice layered over that classic Bruichladdich fruitiness. Pour it neat, with a splash of water to open it up.
