Rockaway is Rodney Strong's single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from a hillside site outside Geyserville in Alexander Valley, planted in 1994 on gravelly clay over fractured sandstone that pushes vines to produce small, concentrated berries. Expect layered blueberry, blackberry, and cassis fruit with a mineral edge and moderate, well-integrated tannin. It's built for the table — pour it alongside grilled ribeye or a lamb shoulder roast and let the wine's structure meet the char.
