The sixth annual edition in Macallan's Rare Cask series, this single malt is drawn from a hand-selected parcel of rare sherry-seasoned oak casks, giving it a deep ruby-mahogany color. The nose opens with soft vanilla and rich raisin lifted by fresh apple and citrus, while the palate carries sweet raisin into dark chocolate and a light citrus zest, closing on a long, velvety finish. Best poured neat after dinner alongside dark chocolate or dried stone fruit, letting the sherry-cask character unfold slowly.
