Quintessentia is Nonino's answer to their own family amaro, swapping the traditional grappa base for their ÙE grape distillate, aged at least a year in French oak and ex-sherry casks. The result opens with orange zest and marmalade, threads through thyme and menthol, then settles into pepper, licorice, and a cocoa finish. Crafted in Friuli by three Nonino sisters who reworked a family recipe dating back to 1933, it's the amaro behind the modern-classic Paper Plane cocktail — pour it over ice, or shake one into a Paper Plane for something new.
