Tipsy Sauce - Caramel Hard Sauce
The Senator sounds presidential, but it's Proof and Wood's barrel-proof straight rye, distilled in Indiana at MGP and blended into small batches of 10-20 select barrels before bottling in Bardstown, Kentucky. Aged a minimum of six years, this Summer 2021 batch lands around 115 proof — enough heat to carry cinnamon-roll sweetness into rye spice, dark chocolate, and a long, dry finish. It picked up Best American Rye at the 2022 World Whiskies Awards. Pour it neat, in small sips, and let the barrel proof do the talking.
Tasting notes
The nose of The Senator 6 Years Old Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey is enticing, offering an inviting bouquet of toasted grains, hints of vanilla, and a subtle peppery spice. Its aroma sets the stage for the indulgent tasting experience that follows, promising a journey of depth and sophistication.
