Meet Altero — Poggio Antico's more forward, fruit-driven take on Brunello di Montalcino. Made from 100% Sangiovese grown on the estate's Tuscan hillsides, it spends 30 months in French oak tonneaux before another year-plus resting in bottle, landing on juicy red currant and cherry with a savory hit of fresh rosemary and warm spice. Pour it with a rosemary-crusted lamb roast or aged pecorino for a proper Tuscan pairing.
