Petra takes its name from a Suvereto vineyard carved into Tuscany's mineral-rich Maremma coast, where estate founder Vittorio Moretti built this blend around 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. The wine spends at least 18 months in barrel, partly new oak, then another 18 in bottle before release — time that shows in its ruby-garnet color and layers of black cherry, wild berry, tobacco, and warm spice. Pour it alongside roast duck or a peppered steak.
