Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré is the second wine of Château Léoville Poyferré, a Second Growth (1855 Classification) estate in Saint-Julien, in Bordeaux's Médoc. Grown on deep Mindel gravel terraces over sandy-clay subsoil along the Gironde estuary, this Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend rounds out with Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Expect black cherry and cassis fruit, graphite minerality, and a peppery, spiced edge over fine-grained tannins. It's built for the table — pour alongside grilled lamb, aged cheese, or braised short ribs.
