New Holland Zeppelin Bend is an American single malt whiskey from New Holland Artisan Spirits in Holland, Michigan, built on the brewer's deep knowledge of malted barley. The mash is 100% malted barley, fermented and twice distilled in-house before resting in heavily charred new American oak for a minimum of three years. Expect milk chocolate and cocoa powder on the nose, with vanilla bean, straw, and baked oak carrying through to a clean, gently warming finish. Pour it neat to let the chocolate notes unfold, or use it as a change of pace alongside your usual bourbon or rye rotation.
Tasting notes
Nose: Grassy malt, fresh vanilla pod and a hint of dark chocolate.
Palate: Quite nutty as it opens. Soft barrel char warmth, with touches of clove alongside.
Finish: Simmering oak-y spices.
