Overview

More Info

Mars Shinshu’s core, blended whisky, named for Japanese whisky pioneer, Kiichiro Iwai (pronounced E-Y), is inspired by the great whiskies of America but retains a distinctly Japanese finesse. This whisky is perfect for classic Japanese highballs.
Tasting notes

Delicate nose of cinnamon and brûléed sugar; palate of Red Delicious apple skin and English breakfast tea with pleasant tannin on the finish

Tipxy AI Overview

What people across the internet are saying
★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ 3/5 AI Rating

Reviewers on whisky blogs are split on Mars Iwai Blue Label. Thirty-One Whiskey praises it as an over-delivering 80 proof intro that nails neat sipping and highballs, while critics on Spirit Animal say it can't hang with serious Japanese single malts. Consensus: easy-drinking entry-level pour, not a connoisseur dram.
