Marchesi di Barolo - Barbaresco Red Wine

The colour is a deep garnet red, gradually filled with orange hues with aging. The aroma is intense, ethereal, with clear scents of tobacco, dog rose, spices. It has a strong tarry note. The taste is elegant, with plenty of tannins that are well-expressed but balanced and pleasant. It goes well with first courses enriched by hearty sauces such as meat sauce and porcini, with roasted or braised meats, lamb, ripened cheeses, sheep and goat cheeses. If long-aged, it becomes a meditation wine.
