The "Old Fussbudget" Mash Bill: Crafted from an intricate mash bill featuring 65% corn, 20% malted rye, and 15% malted barley. The high proportion of malted rye—rather than unmalted rye—delivers a rounder, softer botanical spice without the aggressive prickle of standard rye bourbons.
Pot Still Refinement: Distilled strictly in small alembic cognac stills rather than commercial column stills, retaining high levels of flavor-rich congener oils and grain esters.
8 Years in Charred Oak: Aged for a full 8 years in new charred white oak barrels under the temperate maritime climate of Northern California, allowing the wood to integrate seamlessly without overwhelming the spirit.
Unfiltered Cask Strength: Bottled straight from the barrel without chill-filtration or dilution, preserving the spirit's natural dark amber hue, rich mouthfeel, and bold cask intensity.
