Overview

Puligny-Montrachet sits between Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet, in the stretch of Burgundy that grows some of its most sought-after Chardonnay. Louis Latour ferments this one in oak and lets it complete full malolactic fermentation before eight to ten months aging in French barrels — a portion new — from the house's own cooperage. Expect a pale gold glass with acacia, vanilla, and orchard fruit, and a mineral edge built for roast chicken or fresh scallops.
