Livio Felluga has been coaxing character out of Friuli's hillsides since 1956, and this Sauvignon Blanc shows why the region's Ponca soil — ancient marl and sandstone — matters. Hand-harvested and fermented cool in stainless steel, then rested on its lees for months before bottling, it pours aromatic: elderflower, white pepper, a streak of kiwi and citron peel, finishing long and mineral. Pour it chilled alongside asparagus, a legume soup, or lightly marinated fish.
