Long Island's North Fork isn't the first place you'd guess for Cabernet Franc — but Lieb Cellars' sandy-loam vineyards near the Peconic Bay make a compelling case. This bottling leans mostly Cabernet Franc, rounded out with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Merlot, then rests ten months in Hungarian oak. Expect violet and raspberry aromatics, black pepper spice, and a dry, medium-bodied finish with a savory edge. Pour it alongside roasted duck or a sharp aged cheddar.
