Overview

Meet Le Carillon d'Angélus, the second wine of Saint-Émilion's Château Angélus estate — grown on 44 acres of clay-limestone terroir selected for their own distinct character, not just overflow from the main vineyard. Recent vintages lean heavily Merlot with a splash of Cabernet Franc, aged partly in new French oak, giving notes of dark plum, blackberry and warm spice. Approachable young, it's built for a hearty short rib or aged cheese board tonight — no cellar required.
