Lallier - Reflexion R.021 Brut Champagne
From our Réflexion Champagne collection, the new R.021 Multi-Vintage Brut captures the purest nature of Champagne terroir individuality and interprets this year through a renewed expression. Réflexion is the heart of Lallier style, the perfect balance of Lallier signature atmospheres: Purity, Freshness, Intensity and Depth.
Sourced predominantly from the 2021 harvest, which makes up 70% of the blend. Pinot Noir dominates the blend at 49% this year. Grapes were sourced from several crus within Montagne de Reims, Aÿ and Côte des Bar for Pinot Noir. Côte des Blancs, Montgueux and Côtes de Sézanne for Chardonnay. Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne for Meunier.
The harvest of 2021, which makes up 70% of Réflexion R.021 offers intense citrus aromas completed by elegant floral notes, testimony to the elegance of the 2021 wines. More mature notes such as brioche or fresh hazelnut complement the bouquet. They come from 2020 reserves wines (30%) , patiently aged on fine lees, and from the aging in our cellars.
Lallier R.021 is a versatile champagne that can be enjoyed on its own, as an aperitif or to accompany a meal.
The choice of glass is essential for the development of notes and effervescence. The ideal glass for R.021 is somewhere between a flute and a wine glass: long stem, wide bowl and narrow opening.
To reveal the full potential of this Champagne, serving temperature should sit between 10°C and 12°C. Anything colder will limit the wine’s full expression.
R.021 can be enjoyed for aperitifs by itself or with vegetarian canapés with vegetables. R.021 can also be served for starting a meal with fine and fresh dishes such as raw fishes flavored with citrus fruits (a kingfish ceviche with a yuzu marinade, for example) or shellfish (lobster or smoked carabinero) or with a seasonal vegetables tart.
Color: Fresh colour with light yellow hues and a golden touch.
Nose: Very clear aromas, dominated by citrus fruits like lime and mandarin, completed by elegant floral notes. More mature notes such as brioche or fresh hazelnut complement the bouquet.
Palate: The attack offers great purity and freshness, with a very delicate salty sensation. Then, the power coming from the Pinot noir and the soft roundness typical of Meunier dominate the palate. The finish is long and deep, with a beautiful aromatic maturity.
