Raicilla is tequila and mezcal's wilder cousin, distilled deep in Jalisco's western sierras, and Puntas is the highest-proof cut, drawn from the very heads of the run. Gerardo Pena makes this one from agave Maximiliana in Jacales, fermenting in a 200-liter oak vat before a double distillation in a stainless still.
