Corsica has its own aperitif tradition, and this is the one that started it, made since 1872 by the Mattei family on the island's northern cape. It's built on a mistelle of Vermentinu and Muscat grapes, then infused with cinchona bark for gentle quinine bitterness and local Cedrat citron for a silky, aromatic lift.
