Meet a gin that could only come from Kagoshima. Komasa builds this one on a rice shochu base, then leans into the Sakurajima komikan, a tiny mandarin barely 4 to 5 cm across that grows in volcanic soil and gets harvested by hand for about a month each year. Alongside juniper and coriander, that fruit brings a mellow, sweet fragrance and bright citrus lift. At 45% ABV, it stays gentle and expressive. Lovely in a Tom Collins or a citrus-forward gin and tonic.
