When Prohibition loomed, federal agents seized the whiskey barrels of C.M. Dedman, who'd founded Kentucky Owl back in 1879. Generations later his descendant revived the brand and named this bottling for those confiscated barrels. It's a Kentucky straight bourbon at 96.4 proof, layering aged oak and light caramel with leather, graham cracker, and tobacco, then finishing on dry cinnamon spice. Pour it neat, or over a single big cube to let the oak stretch out.
Tasting notes

Nose: Floral notes of gardenia and honeysuckle, orange cuties, vanilla wafers, banana like wet banana bread, toasty notes like sourdough bread crust, grape and red apple fruit.

Palate:Graham crackers, citrus, fresh squeezed orange juice, toffee, muted sweet cinnamon spice balanced with white grape notes.

Finish: A hint of cayenne.
