Released in 2018, this highly anticipated and very sought-after whiskey is sourced from undisclosed distilleries with an equally undisclosed mash bill. Kentucky Owl Batch 2 is aged for a minimum of 11 years in virgin American white oak for a barrel strength of 101.8-proof. Said to be of a smaller batch volume than its predecessor
A much sweeter, more syrupy release than Batch #1. The nose has corn, sweet cedar, and a spicy oak character. Rich and creamy on the front of the palate gives way to spice on the end and a hint of the cinnamon. A nice lingering black pepper spice finish.
