Kendall-Jackson California Vintner's Reserve Merlot is a Bordeaux-style red built mainly from Merlot, rounded out with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, sourced from mountain and hillside vineyards across Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. The winery uses cold soaking and extended maceration to deepen color and soften tannins, drawing out layers of black cherry, plum, currant, and wild berry with a touch of spice. Elegant, soft tannins carry the fruit to a long, silky finish. Serve around 55°F in a Bordeaux glass alongside flatbread pizza or roasted meats.
