Joshua Tree Distilling - Distiller's Reserve Tobala Reposado Agave Spirit
Reposado means rested, and we wanted to honor that tradition with this reposado version of our Maguey Tobalá Blanco. We carefully monitored the aging process to ensure that flavors from the wood complimented and enhanced the original qualities of the Tobalá Blanco spirit and importantly, didn't overpower or conceal the characteristics that made this agave spirit so unique to begin with.
Tobalá agaves are highly sought after as one of the most expressive cultivars. Our Tobalá agaves were cultivated, cooked, and juiced using traditional methods on a single estate in the mountains near Chilpancingo, MX. The product was then distilled here in California, before being aged in a single use Lost Horse Whiskey barrel. After 6 months, the aged spirit was bottled, labeled, wax dipped and edition by hand. The end result is a one of a kind agave spirit in a limited edition luxury package. Fewer than 300 bottles were produced. J
