Herzog Special Reserve Russian River Chardonnay is a 100% Chardonnay from Sonoma County's Russian River Valley, one of California's premier cool-climate growing zones. Herzog Wine Cellars hand-harvests the fruit and whole-cluster presses it, then barrel-ferments 96% of the wine in French and American oak, with malolactic fermentation completing right in the barrel. The result is a rich, lush-textured white layered with lime, apple, and tropical fruit over a toasty oak backbone. Serve lightly chilled alongside grilled vegetables, barbecued salmon, or roasted turkey.
