Grander Panama Rum's Barrel Series Rye Finish is a column-still, molasses-based rum from Las Cabras Distillery in Panama, aged 12 to 15 years in ex-bourbon casks before an additional finish of roughly eight months in American oak barrels that previously held rye whiskey. Bottled uncut and unfiltered, it carries the rum's tropical-aged sweetness alongside the rye barrel's spice, with notes of cinnamon, dried fruit, and charred oak on the palate. Try it neat or in an Old Fashioned to let the rye char and cane sweetness play off each other.
