Amaretto often gets its almond punch from a lab, but Gozio does it the slow way. At Distillerie Franciacorta in Gussago, Italy, a house making spirits since 1901, bittersweet almonds sourced across four continents steep for at least sixty days, with no artificial aromas or extracts added. The pour is amber-gold with almond and spice on the nose and a long, creamy finish. At 24% ABV it's easygoing over ice, in a whiskey sour, or spooned over vanilla gelato.
