This 1995 vintage from Glenrothes was the first of their whiskies to be aged with a specific character in mind. This was made with 70% refill casks and 30% sherry-treated casks (American and Spanish oak).The flavours are complex, delivering a long and delicately satisfying taste with light fruit and vanilla spiciness, encased in a honeyed sweetness. It truly is another wonderful addition to the ever increasing Glenrothes stable.
Tasting notes
Appearence: Mid gold, clear and bright.
Nose: Rich, creamy vanilla, lemon zest and melon.
Taste: Sweet, light oaky, vanilla and new leather.
Finish: Sweet with hints of butter icing.
